Main Purpose


The purpose of this role is to provide the necessary leadership in a warehouse facility and provide the appropriate management of all aspects of its operations in terms of HSE, the warehouse staff, the movement of goods (in, out and within the premises), the secure control and storage of all goods (both physically and systems-wise), the safe movement of all vehicles, the picking and preparation of all outbound deliveries/pickups and the overall provision of a supply chain management service.

Key Responsibilities


  • Ensuring Health & Safety standards are adhered to at all times with a view to targeting zero lost working days
  • Close liaison with different functions to ensure smooth delivery of inbound deliveries to enable rapid booking / putting away and optimised housekeeping
  • Strong stakeholder focus to ensure adhesion to allotted pickup slots and 100% availability of required components
  • Implement best practice stock management to drive rapid put away and optimised pick and pack completion
  • Maintain robust systems to track every material movement within the warehouse to enable best in class performance management and reporting capability
  • Implement latest technology to drive improved performance and security
  • Support all additional, non-supply chain activities such as the laboratory and training facilities.
  • Report and fix any non-conforming activities in the spirit of continuous improvement
  • Staff management and coordination
  • Compiling and sending relevant reports to the necessary manager
  • Organising returned products
  • Shunter / movement of rigid vehicles
  • Securing load of the trailers to ensure products are secured to minimise changes of damage
  • Organising transfers and loading good onto delivery vehicles
