Main Purpose


PJH are committed to developing our talent, as such we are growing our learning and development team. 

Working closely with the learning and development manager, this role will grow employee knowledge and skills across the business, by producing effective and engaging learning content, helping us ensure we offer a FIRST CHOICE service to both employees and customers.

The successful candidate will be passionate about learning, with experience in developing, reviewing, and delivering learning and development solutions across a variety of business functions. The individual will understand adult learning and motivational theories and successfully apply them to a variety of learning facilitation methods.

Key Responsibilities


  • Support the learning and development manager with assessing both individual and organisational learning and development needs, by identifying skill gaps and future learning requirements using training and learning needs analysis.
  • Work alongside subject matter experts to design and conduct learning, using the most effective methods in the learning toolkit to provide a blended approach to learning.
  • Develop and implement agreed training plans, schedules and calendars in line with learning and development strategy and frameworks.
  • Work closely with HR, to conduct a successful on-boarding and induction programmes for new employees across the organisation.
  • Build and maintain long term collaborative relationships across the business, providing support and consultation on learning and development interventions.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of learning and development programmes, improving and updating content where necessary.
  • Maintain own continuous professional development, demonstrating a positive approach to your professional knowledge, skills and experience
  • Any other reasonable duties

 

Required Skills & Qualifications


A motivated individual, with high levels of written and verbal communication, they can build excellent relationships around the business. They will have the ability to create and execute plans for employee development, succession planning, and leadership development, to a high standard.

A good working knowledge of Microsoft 360, and CIPD level 3 or above is essential.

Travel to our different sites will be a requirement of this role and a pool car will be allocated on the days in which you have to travel.
